I worked for a Volvo dealership for a few years. I am also a truck mechanic and work on Volvo trucks quite often. The Volvo car is very safe and very high tech. Every freaking part is a module that requires programs to work from the VIDA system exclusive for Volvo. Example....... The radio on a XC90 consists of these modules........... Radio module Receiver module Remote module Antenna module Each one of these software downloads cost money. Some newer XC90 and other Volvo cars have a "Heartbeat monitor" to determine if a living being is in the vehicle at the time of an alarm code, panic mode, crash detection, or even cabin temp. The machines are taking over and the company is not SkyTech, it's Volvo
