BB - The fun was sitting here looking out at the snow and being inside where it's warm on a slow Saturday evening. The truckin'...not so much. :-) Mr Cobb - I apologize for that...won't happen again. Just backing out of the drive to go truckin'.

Thanks for the post. Many people do not have any idea how hard it is to maneuver big rigs around. I am always impressed when I watch you guys load the vehicles into the carrier. Looks like every so often they figure out a way to get one more car on board. Then there is all the hydraulics that move the maze of ramps Etc in place. Please continue to post your pictures and video. I really enjoy them. Thanks

I thought at first he was backing into a ditch and a train wreck was abouit to unfold. I think if he had a strobe light controller on the lamps that would make it more enteratining. Although I never driven a semi, I have a f750 and owned a tacoma extended cab and towed with it. Believe it or not the bigger the vehicle the easier it is to get around tight area and back the trailer where you want it to go vs where it wants to go. |

I agree with billy508 on the part about people not realizing about how hard it is to back up a Tractor Trailer. Me and CityConnection were truck drivers and we both know what it's like backing up and trying to put a 53' in a Shipper's or Receiver's door in a Loading Dock Warehouse or Grocery Warehouse where you have to back inbetween two other drivers' trucks and the stupid SOBs are either in their sleepers or otherwise not available and won't help out by unhooking and helping out and making it easier for you to back into your door assignment. I ran Reefer and Dry Van and know nothing about "Portable Parking Lots" or car haulers. I remember Lance saying he drove for CRST; don't know if he still does or if he is still driving big truck. I got out of it because of the Abuse and the Mistreatment and don't look back. But Boy I remember those days! |
