I also like to create my own words sometimes like "destenchification" ( which I use to describe the elimination of doggie scent from my Metro) which sould sort of correct but aren't.
I love that word, "destenchification"!!

That's exactly what I'm trying to do to my wifes new Metro. It sat in a barn for 8 years with the windows down, with chickens living in it!! :'(

Every time the blower motor is turned on, we are reminded of that damn barn!! :lol

Most of my destenchification projects involve complete disassembly and scrubbing and cleaning every surface in the car-usually with a garden hose or a pressure washer. The guy who had my blue 91 before me must have owned dogs because there were hairs everywhere and it's been hard to eliminate the kennel stench from it. I have scrubbed everything-including all of the metal under the panels- to get it to smell less than horrid. It still smells a little, but I can't fix it completely without new carpeting which comes with new sound deadening. Well, at least I got rid of all the mold! Ah, the joys of owning 20 year old Metros! :lol

My Geos came from smokers so I had a lot of stench to get rid of. I used Simple Green, 2x water and the Shop Vac. It also helps that I can't smell. :-/

This is a Really Touchy and Annoying thing for me, and just as bad as the Geo/Disco/Male Bashing. Mispronouncing, in particular Town Names. I get so Annoyed when people say the name of a town wrong. I feel like smacking them upside the head, UGGH! Nowadays, seems like every state (and province) has at least one Mispronounced city or town. But it's not just towns, it's some words like ADJACENT for example. Forget how you pronounce it, instead say it like you would say ADJECTIVE. Hence AD/juh/sint sounds more Proper. (and more Mature.) Also MELANCHOLY should be said muh/LAN/ko/lee, don'tcha think.

Some towns like the Capital of Montana and South Dakota, as well as the County Seat of White Pine County in Nevada (where the NHP wrongfully popped me for speeding and should've got that other guy.) and the nearest sizable town next to Vandenburg Air Force Base in Santa Barbara County in California are a few more examples of Grossly Mispronounced towns. I am just gonna leave it at that for now.

Had a friend years ago who would say "electrolylic" instead of "electrolytic". Also, "mammalary" for "mammary".

There is, of course, the famous "new-kew-lar" instead of "new-klee-ar".

Do you say "KEW-pon"? It should be "Koo-pon".

When I was a kid, we had a Warshing machine, used warshcloths, put warshers under bolts and nuts, and the capitol was in Warshington.
Coo-pin! Haha.

It drives people nuts

I hear people say ideal, when they mean idea all the time.
