I just got back from checking out both of the places. Big Lagoon is limited in a couple of ways and dosent seem to be too friendly. The Fishing pier was all for the idea. They have a nice covered picnic area that we can use if it rains. They are open 24/7 so late/early arrival will not be a problem. They have a large parking lot that would show case our Geos. I now say A One day Event. Early Saturday Morning to late Saturday night. The pier has the advantage of no reservations, We can just show up and have fun. I walked the pier today it is about 20 foot wide and 2600 feet long(I think) . I will post some pictures in just a few. Input Please. :banana :banana :banana

You must have read my mind. I was going to take a pic of Lulus but I was cold and just did not take the time to do it. I did think about it because you can see it very well from the bridge http://www.lulusathomeport.com/index-live.php Posted Image :banana :banana :banana

i'll see what i can do... gonna be doing a good bit of traveling... plus trying to get this swift done before Geopalooza.... i would love to go down to FL to meet ya'll just dont know if the funds are their for 2011.
Man, I want so much to go.
I feel the pain of limited funds also.
Potter, you think we could do it as a red-eye?
Meet in Emporia and take I95 as far as necessary, then cut over and finish the trip?
I haven't built my new engine yet, so that may be my biggest factor.
Just some thoughts to ponder.
Tag team??? :deal ill see if i can find you another tune player :deal :deal it'll split the costs in half :deal ... ill drive to VA beach and we can take the super elastic bubble plastic. since it gets the best mileage, and the more comfy seats for the journey.... also might want to think of installing a CCC System ( Coche Cruise Control System)

I'm working a plan now.
Just PM'd Potter.
My big hurdle at this point will be getting time off work.
We found out last night, they changed the rules on us, so it is harder to get time off.
I will work on that as Potter and I work a plan for the trip.
20 hours in a car, sheesh.
900 miles, one way, sheesh.
$130.00 for fuel, sheesh.
Now I gotta make it work just for the satisfaction.

If you figure length of a Geo at 13 ft we could get 117 on it. I misstated the length of the pier it has 2600 feet of fishing space but it is only 1512 feet long. Sorry about that. :banana :banana :banana
