Awwwww shucks, it's not all that great.

Here it is with one coil cut off front and rear

And here with 3/4 coil cut in the back, 1 coil front

Please note my careful documentation of the passage of time. ^o) That makes it harder to compare, but the front is the same in both photos, I only changed the rear between those two. The wheels/tires are exactly the same diameter as stock.

They're Konigs, rebel or something, don't remember the name exactly. They're 15 x 6.5 and about nine years old. They don't look anywhere near that nice up close, in fact, the whole car doesn't.

Here's a picture of it at stock ride height with one wiper, drove it like this for about a year:

Here it is with no wipers at all, drove it this way for about four months after last year's blizzard messed up the linkage. I fixed them to drive to GeoPalooza, good decision, it poured it down Saturday evening:

Woodies car needs a good cleaning and a buff to be perfect. But man is it pretty up close. When he moves to england I will be purchacing it for my fleet. Everything he has done to the car is legit and done with very much attention to detail. He still hasnt named a price tho :deal

Coming from the sports car world I can tell ya'll that cutting the springs is a bad idea. The springs are engineered to work properly as they are. By cutting them you are changing the characteristics of how the spring flexes and you risk severe failure (aka the spring breaking or popping out).

If you want to lower a car, do it properly. Buy lowering springs, they aren't that hard to install. Or if you want some really improved handling get adjustable coilovers (what my Supra has).

This has been done many many times on these cars with no failure. As for a supra Id agree those bitches weigh a ton. I havent heard of anyone loosing a leg because there spring popped out. One of my buddies had a set of those cheapass coilovers. One DID come apart and trashed the right front of his 98 civic.

My Supra weighs 3300 lbs (stock is 3600), so I can see where the weight difference would make a difference. The Geo's are pretty light, so I can see where the weight would play into the suspension a lot. If you say that many have done it successfully on Metro's than I will have to take your word for it since I come from the school of heavy sports cars (well, heavy compared to a Metro but average for any real sports car like the Supra or Corvette).

Anything that struggles to get up a hill with just the driver in it isn't sports car. My Supra on the other hand passes cars very quickly up steep hills.

obaja, yes Camaro's are sports cars

"struggles" is relative.
