First off I'd like to give thanks to the forum I wouldn't have started
this rebuild if not for it.

I haven't been documenting this very well but I have a few pics and a video I'll add
when I figure out how to edit it.
The car a 95 Lsi 2 door:
My wife bought it years ago before we met. When our son was born we got something a little safer for
her to drive.
Like most of us I had gone through many vehicles, 59 Chevy, 65 Newport, Mustang, a few trucks. For some reason the metro hung around.
At some point I started driving it for a daily commuter or should I say daily abuser.
Anyway I didn't have a whole lot of respect for the poor car and one day after many miles of abuse
it had enough. I was driving to work one morning and the car through fit. Lots of rattling and knocking could be heard from the motor.
I towed it home and did a little research and found the GeoMetroForum and that's when
it began.
I pulled the motor and found this

Cracked pistons (all 4), lots of sludge, and a bit of a warped head among other things.
I ordered new pistons, rings, gaskets, and a long list of other parts.
Had the block cleaned, machined .5 mm over and flattened. The head got reworked also.
After all this it ended up falling to the wayside of work fishing and hunting.
More to come shortly.

Thanks (I seem to say that a lot here) cej93 I think I figured out what I did wrong.

The valves weren't burnt so I decided to reuse them.
Lapping them in on the kitchen counter.

Like I said before I didn't document the build like I should have but here are some pics of what it looked like before hand.

After a bit of cleaning and assembly this is it on the stand. It's not as clean as some others I've seen on here
but I do plan on giving it one more wipe down before its installed.

Still need to get some hoses, vacuum lines and a few things like that but for the most part it's ready to go.

A shot of the engine room, need to do a little more scrubin but hope to have it shiny before install.

And here's a couple of the exterior. I plan on taking care of the cosmetics after she purrs for me.

That's it for now, I have a long list of things to do and I will document them with more detail as I go.
Until next time :cheers

Thanks for sharing.
You must be getting the hang of posting pictures. :)
As I looked through the pictures, something didn't seem right.
Then I realized there's no snow. :O
Nice work!
