Ummmm, nice, crispy, crunchy, squeaks-when-you-walk-on-it snow. :thumb
Ah doan like hot weather....ugh....muggy, sticky, sweltering mid-west summers of growing-up years in Michigan.
This is the country I moved to....with mountains and ocean and cold.
Warm clothes, a drive in the metro with its rear window permanently iced up on the inside.....to Kaladi's coffee shop downtown for a hot cup of coffee. (daughter works there)
Ummmm....this is winter.

Edit: geopaloozas should be in winter IMO

Brrrrrr. . . . I'm near Detroit right now, and it's about 10° above. Still too cold for me. Tonight I'll be home to more moderate 20° to 30° weather in PA. I don’t know how you guys do it, but you deserve a lot of respect. :cold

Who says Geo's don't warm up at idle? Mine does! Heck, if the air blowing out is 40 degrees, that's 65 degrees warmer that outside!

I warm my hands by holding a Coke from the fridge now a days.

Went fishing, last winter, and my Jeep read this

I love it when it gets this cold, the kids bug me to boil a pot of water, and then throw it in the air outside. Had to edit to say, I never saw your other post before this, funny how we Minnesotans think alike!! LOL

Instant Snow!! ^o) :P

Your also gonna be jealous, I actually had to turn my heat down in the Metro this morning!! :D

Yup, it got to hot!! :rocker

Who says these cars don't heat. :ermm:

From the Brainerd newspaper today

Mercury fell to 33 below here Friday

Anglers attending Saturday's Brainerd Jaycees $150,000 Ice Fishing Extravaganza - and anyone else for that matter - are in for another frigid day in the lakes area.

The National Weather Service of Duluth forecast a low of 14 below zero Friday night with wind chill values of 20 to 30 below; with a high reaching a measly 3 degrees Saturday, with wind child values of 15 to 25 below zero.

As cold as these temperatures sound, it won't be as bad as they were Friday. Dan Miller of the National Weather Service said the coldest temperatures Brainerd reached was at 6:33 a.m. Friday at 33 below zero. Temperatures slowly rose throughout the day with 14 below zero at noon and 4 below zero at 4 p.m.

"We're in a pattern right now where we'll stay below normal," Miller said. "Once the arctic air gets here and we get shots of snow and cold air it's basically what it will be like for the rest of January."

The coldest temperatures of the season delayed the start of school for many students and caused even the hardiest Minnesotans to think twice about staying outdoors for any length of time.

The National Weather Service issued an "extreme cold warning" for northern Minnesota through midmorning Friday. Temperatures, even without the wind chill factor, dropped to below zero double digits. International Falls and Babbitt had readings of 46 below.

The 46-below reading was a record low for International Falls. The city's previous record for Jan. 21 was 41 below set in 1954.
