So I've puked twice today and am constantly sick and want to puke. I spoke to a doc today and he thinks that I may have more than 1 kidney stone. If I haven't heard anything back from the hospital by Friday he told me to go to the VA hospital ER and make them admit me. The doc I saw today said that surgery may be the best idea to get rid of the stone(s). |

I am heading to the VA hospital ER in Seattle right now. The pain is going from a 4 to an 8 and it's getting really painful to piss. Plus my damn Perkocet is making me very sick to my stomach and my anti-nausea pills aren't doing shit. Most likely I will be operated on to get the stones out of me. I'll keep ya'll updated when I can. |

Tell them you're in excruciating pain with intractible nausea/vomiting. Also tell them the pain is only controlled by a Fentanyl PCA pump. ;-) BTW, if it's anything like our hospital, if you're put on a regular diet, ask to see the VIP menu. :p |

Pain doesn't make me cry. But for the week it took me to pass the one I had, I cried at least 3-4 times. It was a clingy one. Best of luck to you, man. Glad I'm not you right now

HonestAbe, All I can offer you is that when the stone is passed, if you pass it versus them pulling it, the pain will immediately be gone. If they do the grappling hook thing, Ol' Pete will be sore for a spell but I guess about right now you'd let em cut him flush off if the pain would give a little. CranApple juice, liquids...I forced mine with drinking till I thought I'd float but sometimes folks have them a few sizes bigger and they can't get through the pipes. In that case, all the built up liquids make the pain worse cause you can't pass it. And if they haven't already discussed this with you, there is the small incision and bust em up procedure so you can pass em. My brother had that procedure done once and the grappling hook once. I always squirt mine out. Good luck, Bro. |

Incredible. Wish you could have been sicker at the hospital, maybe toss some tacos. Well, tea is my diuretic of choice which is why I avoid it because of my prostrate issue. I'll pray for you. |
