OK, so I finally picked up some 13" rims for my 2000 sedan. They are old, faded and have a little curb rash so I'd like to freshen them up a little.![]() Since this is going on a white car I though I'd paint the wheels black and then clean up and polish the lips. The stock color is gold and that's an option as well... but it makes me think of 80's Pontiac. But still an option. What would you guys do? |

Honestly, I like them the way they are. Maybe clean and refinish in original color where possible. Good find. |

80s Pontiac is a no go for me too. Black is probably your best choice. That, or JDM green.

Here is the issue I have with gold:![]() I'm not saying it wouldn't work, it just doesn't feel right to me. Pontiac was known for many years to use gold wheels on their higher end model packages. But I think the same car with these on it: ![]() would look a lot cleaner. I'm not poo-pooing gold outright, just need some time to make up my mind. Hence the fact that I came here for input. Thanks guys. |

If you've got the LSI trim, paint the rims the same color as your body. Otherwise make it black or some other color. |

I'm with CB on this one. Black is definitely the way to go. |

Just adding my two cents; and at the risk of coining a cheesy wesley snipes movie " Always bet on black." |

Yeah, but those are slow cars. I need to distance myself from them.

Black with polished lips would make them sorta look like Buick GNX wheels. GeoNX |

Looks like black is the winner. I'm out of state right now, but I'm motivated to get them all painted up soon as I get back home. Thanks guys. |
