I'm in the market for a Metro, However, the market is TOUGH. My initial desire was to get an mkII, but due to my lack of transportation I'm thinking I may get an MKIII, what are you guys' thoughts? |

I have a 2000 sedan. I love my 2000 sedan. I have a 1993 hatch. I'm not too thrilled about my 1993 hatch and I'm selling it soon. |

Why don't you like the 93' I was mainly interested in the body style, and the lighter weight. |

I love my 93, but I just pretend it's not a real car...that way I won't compare it to say...a Kia in terms of ride quality. haha |

With my 93 I just feel like I'm in a tin can whizzing down the road. The 2000 just feels like a more solid car. some examples: 93' conversation between me and a buddy needs the radio turned all the way down and loud voices 00' radio low in the background and normal "inside voices" 93' has a skinny hard plastic steering wheel 00' has a fatter wheel rim and is made of a semi-soft material 93' has tiny solid "warp-prone" rotors 00' has larger vented rotors 93' has minimal safety features 00' has dual airbags, side impact beams, and crumple zones I'm never one to say "newer is better" but in this case it is. Or at least it is to me. There are many reasons the 93' is better then the 00' but to me the advantages outweigh the disadvantages. |

I love the style of the 89-94 but prefer the 92-94 models because I like the dash switches better. However, I like the funky upholstery in my 91 better than the 92. Then again, if I could find a 95+ 3/5 cheap I would buy it in a heartbeat because the insurance is significantly cheaper. But yeah, the earlier cars have much cleaner lines than the later ones even though they were functionally inferior.
