Gnarly Knobbies?

I've read about some mods to offroad a Geo: http://www.madscientistcustoms.com/Cars/GeoM.html

However, I haven't seen anything out there on gnarly knobby tires that fit on a Geo (with or without a lift).
The idea here is two sets of tires - good all season for commuting - then change the tires to knobbies for weekend mud.

Here's what he says:

"They work great in the sand and also on the rocks. With enough momentum, I can climb a hill in 2 wheel drive that my friend in a Toyota pickup has to put in 4 wheel drive. I even keep up with my friends on their dirt bikes and ATVs...

I recommend Yamaha Banshee 11x8 in wheels (10 in wheels rub on the brake calipers) and 22x10-11 tires. I'm currently using 10x8 wheels and 22x10-10 GBC Dirt Devil tires. "

Apparently too much off roading tore the underbelly of his Geo. With some good reinforcement, a 2-3 inch lift and a skid plate with these tires - that'd make one hell of a combo!

Monday-Friday - low rolling resistance commuter tires for MPG.
Weekend mud trips - swap these guys on and go climbing! :drivin

I wanted to do this with a Geo to take it mudding at Yankee Lake Truck Night, but just finding a solid car around here is rare let alone tearing it up in the mud. The front lower rad support is weak and radiator location is not ideal and also the alternator would be submerged alot.

gnarly k nobbies they are not

they do go in the snow
and they can be driven on the street m which is the only place they get driven , intentionally

almost got stuck at the bottom of a valley , during a gnarly ice storm , but in the deep snow it always goes .
