I am looking to gather the parts needed to replace all the brake lines and fittings. So what size is the hard lines for a 1993 Metro convertible? Also what is the size of the fittings for the hard lines? How many fittings do I need? Any help would be great.
Thanks

The hard lines are 3/16". The tube nut fittings are M10x1. You're going to replace every line and fitting, including the ones coming out of the master cylinder? I count 20 total fittings in the system.

For the brake the brake lines you might want to check out "Cunifer" copper-nickel alloy line from http://www.fedhillusa.com if you don't mind spending a little extra since they'll never rust out. Otherwise, there is PolyArmour brand poly-coated steel line that AutoZone (and probably others) carries.

If you can't find the fittings locally, I found an online source here: http://www.ind-supply.biz/estore/BQ4511.html Looking at the BrakeQuip catalog (http://www.brakequip.com/tubenuts.html), they have a few fittings that are M10x1 thread, so I can't be 100% sure about that particular fitting working.

I have a wrecked 93 four door hatch. The brake lines are good, but if your interested I can look tomorrow and verify. I don't know how expensive they would be to ship, but it might be worth checking out. :thumb

Hey, halla5! Didn't realize you were so close! Pick-N-Pull has 8 Geo Metros of various vintages for your parts acquisition pleasure. Swing by the Downtown Airport with your ride sometime!
