All this talk about converting the G-10 to MPI is great; I wanna hear more! The fact that the injector bosses were cast into the head was news to me. So consider this; the big problem with the original intake is that you have 2 long runners and 1 short one. This is why you don't many inline 6 cylinders anymore and the ones that are still around {BMW, Jaguar} are all mpi. With a single TB or carb on top the stock manifold you get a richer mixture to that center cylinder witch builds carbon under the rings and eventually renders them useless. What we need is for someone like MM Products to build us a Dry manifold with equal length runners designed for MPI to include of course the EGR so that we don't overheat the pistons. MM already builds a header how much harder could it be to build a tubular intake?

this build used a canadian market only turbo3 intake manifold which is completely different than the normally aspirated g10 intake manifold.

the turbo3 manifold has a side mounted throttle body, has a true plenum, and utilizes equal length runners. the injectors are fitted to machined holes over the intake ports and are held in by the physical mounting of a fuel rail.

I would love to see this on my n/a.. :drool
boost would be nice but i wonder what numbers you could bring from the manifold/ ecu / cam / and built lower end. keep the 45 + mpg but bring around 70-100 hp from the n/a 1.0.... I cant wait to see tofuball's geo mpfi :drivin

I haven't touched the car.

I'm probably never going to get around to it.

I should just sell it. Want it? :P

No!!! I badly want to see what kind of fuel mileage is possible out of a tweaked Megasquirt G10. Would love to do it myself but I'm too much of a dummy. :smackface

Yeah. I'm doing the heater core in my wife's car. It's cold in the garage. I'm alone. No torx wrenches, lost in the move. Building motivation to go out again.

Besides music, I watch Ironman 1 for a little inspiration, sometimes. :coffee

:lol
That's wonderful logic.
If Tony Stark can build the Mark 1 in a cave, from scraps, just imagine what you can do in your garage! :O

every time i venture into the realm of "where no one has gone before" i get cranked up. there's nothing like a challenge to engage the old noodle.

i've had to dope out a lot of stuff on the megasquirt and turbo3 projects. i'd be happy to help you brainstorm if you'd like. i worked out the timing basics for sequential injection and 3 channel direct ignition so you wouldn't have to re-invent the wheel on that. the last time i looked, you seemed to have all of the mechanical stuff worked out for the conversion from tbi to mpfi.
