I wish I could have been there... I am still looking at an empty engine block for my Metro. I guess there is always next year. Looks like everyone had a great time!

JM was headed north, we were about 45 miles north of Montgomery, Al.

Need to clean and paint them. Will have to do that project next week.

The new Avatar is a B-1 with a full payload on display.

Dang!
So Mad :banghead I knew it was coming up but got sidetracked...spent the weekend sitting around with the wife and just got the taxes back, and to top it off all my family lives around Gulf Shores! Absolutly no reason I could not go, just missed it. I was looking forward to meeting others! Next year for sure.

Mullet, sorry to hear about your troubles, Rudolph overheats most times coming back to Birmingham from Montgomery. South is never a problem, but North starting at Montgomery is a steady climb in attitude. Only a few hundred feet just very steady. You almost don't notice. The only time he didn't overheat it was snowing. Sorry to hear I'm not the only one. Course I'm still finding all the gremlins from the PO.

Something isn't right with that, I've made that same trip several times (Montgomery to B'ham) and my needle has never moved.

Don't know if I posted the numbers here or not, but I averaged 47mpg on the way down. And that was with an engine in the back, strong headwinds and horrible weather, traffic jams and road closures. On the way back however, I averaged 53 mpg. I attribute this to a lighter load, strong tailwinds and a penchant for drafting the occasional semi! I drove 900 miles straight on the way back and averaged 72-75 mph the entire way. And I drove 502 miles between fillups....something I've always wanted to do (go over 500 miles without filling up) and decided to do this time.

I reworked the wipers on my car because enginedoctorgeo said they needed a little work.

Much nicer now.

Very nice numbers....I've always wanted to try to go over 500 miles on a tank but I chicken out every time :).

Showing your age now Murf! Maybe time to get the bloody finger test of the ol prostate there buddy. My doctor give it to me and I thought it was his leg instead of his finger. I think next time I will request his nurse assistant. Ladies usually have way smaller fingers!
