anyone interested on meeting up and going to a shop in pasadena MD? theres a shop in maryland that maybe able to fabricate a header for our cars but my 1996 swift is undriveable at the moment. i live in new york and i would travel to maryland to meet up with geo members ( with their metro/swifts) to come with me to go to MBS shop in pasadena, for a possible fab work on our headers. i was hoping we could meet up somewhere close to the area on fri morning (APRIL 1, 2011). here's the link to the shop: digitizing your exhaust/headers address: 2539 Mountain Road Pasadena, MD 21122 thanks all Edited by ponzy, Mar 23 2011, 02:56 PM.

He can have mine for a couple of weeks, but we'll end up with a header that won't fit your car. Mine's a 16V. |

hahaha, i dont care, as long as theres a shop that will do our headers... woodie, i am not even sure if we will be just wasting ourt time over there, if the "HEADERS" is possible for them to fabricate. but my point is i will try and HOPEFULLY, we will try to accomplish this by going there. (sounds too hopeful?, lol) on a side note: i am not trying to profit from these deal. nor im planning to do so. but if the headers can be fabricated then we wil ask to have a "group buy" then the second production is up to their pricing/disposal(if there's gonna be a second production). so i presumed you're in WOODIE? who else with of course a 4 cylinder 8 valve 1.3L.......lol |

I really doubt you'd be able to get enough people, on a Geo forum, that were willing to shell out what they will cost.

I don't know if the head on mine will even have the exhaust ports in the same place as yours by the time I'm done with it . . . |

you are right CB, i dont know how much it would cost us, going there with the car on hand will probably sort this out. if it can be fabricated at a little cost to us, people are willing to spend close to $300 ( with O2 bung and shipping on a crappy SRD with no egr port). how much do you think it would be? but hey, its about tryin', the only expendables out if this trip is your time, gas and most likely you have to leave your car for a week or so? (for me time - will take my PTO of 10 hours, gas and toll money -- i will be driving there from ny) Edited by ponzy, Mar 25 2011, 10:34 AM.

okay, moving on............ lets close this thread..... ;-( anyway, i found in teamswift.net forum about the exhaust manifold flange being fabricated as of the moment ( for 3 cyl car only) i was able to contact the guy that does the fabrication and he told me i just need to send him the gaskets and a spray scan of the existing flange off the manifold ( 4 cyl swift/metro). i have yet to get the QUOTE for the pricing, here's the email from the guy:
so, who wants one? more people the cheaper so we can "Share" on the "set-up" cost of digitizing the flange. and i will gladly give the "file" to johnny if the fabricator allows it. joseph (ponzy) |
