So I was driving along the interstate yesterday and I hit a nasty bump. At that point my check engine light came on. I had my Geo in the shop the day before because of my bad mileage (turned out my MAP sensor was disconnected). It was odd my check engine light wasn't on when the MAP sensor was bad. I was getting 20mpg town (I am getting way better mpg now, my fuel gage isnt on halfway after only 100 miles). Anyway, shoudl I just disconnect my battery for a new minutes?

No, but I just read the post by JM where he explains that. I will disconnect the battery first, and if its still on I will proceed to JM's thread

Read the code first, that way you will know if it's something you can put off or something you must look into now. |
