Will a 92 Metro 3 cyl drop into a 95-96 Metro 3cyl engine bay? Someone wants to buy my 92 motor and put it into their 95 or 96 metro they have. Will it bolt up or will they have to swap some of their stuff on it or what comb would work best?

It should work fit with no problems. The early model blocks only have 3 bosses for the AC bracket whereas the 96 has four bosses. The 96 uses a crank trigger that requires a different style oil pump and oil pan.

The person should transfer everything from their engine over to the 1992 long block including the intake, distributor, all sensors, the oil pump, oil pan, crank sprocket and cam sprocket and timing cover.

When they transfer the 96 oil pump to the 92 block, they must use a 92 oil pump gasket.

If the other car is a 96, then there are parts from the 96 motor that need to go on the 92 motor to work with the crank sensor.
