efe heaters; where to find efe heaters?

Wow. I'm having a really tough time tracking down a replacement efe heater for my 97 Geo metro 1 liter. Dealer doesn't have 'em, auto parts stores can't get 'em. Very little luck so far searching around on the internet. Any suggestions? I love this little car and I hate to think I'd have to give it up because I can't find a few parts.

I got a check engine light and the code read P1250, so I'm looking for spare efe heaters.

Thx,
eric

Try cleaning it. All you need to do is take the TBI off and pull the EFE heater out, use some chemtrol B-12 and clean it. I did mine and found that the passages were clogged. It just needs a good cleaning.

Its still dead on my end.

Oh, BTW eric, when you pull your efe heater off of the intake manifold, remember to be very careful. Try not to damage the upper and lower gaskets on the heater or you will have to spend some cash to replace them. If you pry the heater off gently maybe you can reuse the gaskets.
