i posted a few days ago and peoples advice was awesome but i'm still confused. i bought this 1991 metro convertable with the standard 3 cylinder motor but the guy i bought it from put a carburator on a rebuilt motor. i bought a intake manifold with a throttle body on it from a guy who took it off a 1995 metro. well you can see the wiring on my metro has the clips which attach to fuel injection and when i goto napa or checkers then advance auto for a third opinion all the books and computers (for wherever their checking) states that all those metros where fuel injected. the throttle body has the throttle position sensor on it but i can't find a connector anywhere in the wiring harness on the car. my desperate question is, is a throttle body interchangable with were a fuel injection was since there isn't any thing on the wiring harness to support a throttle body or am i blind and missing any connectors to attach the throttle body. please help i'm in dire straits again each and everyone of you rock guitarranger11

How about some pictures of your wiring harness as well as your engine in the car as it is? I am not aware of any 91 with multiport injection myself. |

Yah, I think pics would be most helpful at this point. From Jittney's postings of diagrams, this is what I think your setup would be -> 1989-1993 M,Intake Manifold & Throttle Body <-![]() As EDG says, I didn't think they came with multiport (but I could be wrong). |

No chance of a carburetor or multi point. All GEO Metros have throttle body injection. That being said, it changed subtly from year to year, very unlikely that a 95 setup is going to work. There were 89-91 with EGR and without EGR, then there were 92-94 setups, all had EGR. 95 might be included in that second group or might be all by itself because everything changed again 96-00. Your convertible was built in Japan, so that also might be a difference. |

woodie is there anyway to make the 95 manifold work i have it installed on the car and alot of things match up but now when i crank it it doesnt seem to be getting any fuel to the throttle body. why is that and is there anything to do. my wife paid a $100.00 for this and will kill me if i don't get thgis intake/throttle body to work. the guy i got this from won't refund my money even though i advertised for a 1991 metro he assured me it was interchangable.please help i am desperate. thanks guitarranger11 |

Some JDM replacement engines come with carburetors. FYI. I would continue to look for the proper year range intake and TBI unit for your 91. |
