I am replacing the camshaft seal today. I've read about using some RTV to help get a good seal, but where exactly do you put it (inside of seal, shaft, etc.)?

Put the rtv around the outer circumference of the seal. Welcome to the forum. |

A little around the Outside on the pressing surface. Holds it better since it's a pretty loose fit. Only oil, or grease, on the double lip shaft seal surface.
