thanks to everyones comments on my headache i appreciate it. so the idiot who sold me the wrong year throttle body ( the intake manifold did fit) won't give me my money back he thinks because he thought they would fit (or so he says) he's not obligated to give me back the $200 oh yeah i bought the 2 seats for my convertable because the guy i bought it from originally put volvo seats in it and the seats i bought from this guy doesn't fit either and i told him they don't measure the same and he says his 3 all measure the same(maybe thats because all his are 95's and mines a 91) with all my whining aside i'm forced to make the carburator work on my metro. can anyone please help me figfure out why it has to idle at 2800 rpm in order to stay running it will die if the idle is less than that.. and when you turn the key off the car stays running so you have to pop the clutch to get the car to die. thanks again for everyones help and knowledge take care everyone

All the seats are interchangeable for all the swifts and metros.....so, if you have Volvo seats in your convertible, perhaps the person who put them in changed the rails, too. :dunno
Your engine should have a fuel injector in it....rather than a carburator.
The old Chevy Sprints have carburators....and they got fantastic gas mileage.
So, please post a picture or two of what you have, and let us see how we can help you. :)
