Hey guys,

My Geo Metro suddenly won't start. The Video shows the problem.

I am not technically inclined and hope this won't be a costly repair :(

Any help appreciated.

Sir, yes sir!

Timing belt. Open the oil cap and have a helper crank the engine. If the cam shaft doesn't turn, timing belt.

the timing belt costs around 20 to $30 depending on where you buy it
my great grandmother could replace a timing belt on a Geo metro , blindfolded , with her good hand tied behind her back , standing on one leg ...

i am old
the car is not , and it is paid for and it gets close to 50 mpg when running correctly

imho you would be a fool if you choose not to replace the timing belt
