I have a 1990 G10 metro head apart and have never seen a cam more or less float in the cam journals. There are no bearings that can be replaced . If the journals get out of round how are they brought back within tolerance? Grinding the caps down and doing allign boring like a crankshaft?

Good bye

That might work, I have several heads so I don't think I would ever go that way. There are lots of Metros in local wrecking yards.

Toss it out and get a new head. It's pretty much unheard of.
