I'm swamped with school so I won't be working on the Geo again till Friday. But in the mean time I'll try to upload a vid of the pull. I get so wrapped up in working that I never take pictures... So a video will have to suffice :thumb

Interesting. When I first saw it, in the avatar size, I thought is was an "ET" type thing. You know, the kids riding the flying bike in front of the moon? Ah the ol' pipe dream Geo. :lol

Welcome t your new forum, Metro Express! :coffee

Yeah, I wish I had replaced my clutch when I did my swap. :smackface

With the manifolds off you can port the manifolds if you can spend some time grinding some metal. :-/ If you have an EGR then clean the port through the block and both the intake and exhaust manifolds. :dunno

Anyway, good luck with the project. :thumb

It gets clogged with carbon, if your car has an EGR system it probably needs cleaning, if it does not have EGR don't worry about it.

2 minutes and 26 seconds for an engine removal. What took you guys so long? JM would have done it in under 2 minutes. Hehe.

The engine bay looks naked without an engine in it.

Thanks for the tip. It is equipped with EGR so I'll have to do that while I have it out. This will all be added to this weekends project. My odds of having it back together by saturday night keep dropping as I add more things to the "todo" list :hmm

That was so cool! :popcorn Ratchet Strap, with minimal wrestle, and it's out! :thumb

Porting, or port matching, is removing material so the ports aline. Benefit is less restricted flow.

I used the exhaust manifold gasket as a template. Marked the manifold and used a dremel to enlarge & smooth.

I can post pics or you can view the results in the Little Red with Heart thread.

Nice work! Please show us more. :popcorn
