ignition timing on a 2000 metro; witch pin do you short

please help me out here i understand how the timing work and how to use the paper click the only problem as you know in the 2000 Geo metro the connector is in the glove box and it has a plug with 6 little squares but only 4 has pins and the other two are empty in the top row the middle one has a pin and in the bottom row all 3 of them have pins , now in the hood there is no sticker showing witch one to short out,,,, the sticker is there that shows you at what degree to set the timing but for some reason this year it doesn't show you witch ones to short, i cant find anywhere witch two do i short, ive downloded the repair manual for this years and nothing :wub:

The problem with my plug there is no pin in the upper left only in the middle in the top row and the bottom row is full with 3 pins

I think even in that picture you can see that one row there is a pin in the middle only

I don't know if I am viewing the picture differently but i am viewing my plug as 2 rows and 3 colums and my pin is on the top row in the middle and 3 pins in the bottom row, yours is 3 rows and 2 colums with your picture , the way I'm viewing my plug I have to short out the second row first two pins correct.?
