So as some of you kno that I work at Autozone. I get to speak to alot of older guys full of ideals and experience. I was having trouble cleaning the grease off the block I was planing on rebuilding. It was baked on there and I had no power washer, so I was using purple power and brake clean with so parts brushes , it seemed like I was wastin my time! So I sprayed it down and let it set. The next day at work I talked to bill (a regular) about cleaning the block. He was telling me to use easy-off heavy duty oven cleaner :hmm. So I went to walmart and got a can for $4. But I have to say it worked better then any thing I have tried. It's Worth trying. I hope this tip helps. I kno it helped me.

Your local AutoZone may not be hiring at all.... Despite having all open spots filled, AutoZone corporate requires stores to keep the "Now Hiring" sign up that way they'll have a lot of applicants ready... My dad used to work HR at AutoZone, didn't like it a bit.

Well they put the now hiring sign in the window because they say there is an Autozone somewhere hiring. And they have a questionare that's is based on truth before the store manager even gets to see ur app. I had been asking at my store since I was like 16 and try said u have to be 18 so I was 19 when I went in one day and seen a new store manager and asked him and he said put in my app cause he was doing interviews in a week. So went to my buddys a block away an put it in and marched back and told him to look for my app. He found it and after the interview he told me. That how fast I put the app in was made up his mine. Good thing I didn't have my Geo at the time. It would have taken days compared to my supercharged grand prix. Lol. How this helps. Hahaha

Thats a great idea! I would never have thought of it. I wonder how hard it is on other stuff in the engine bay. I might use it to clean everything once I get her running again

I used "easy off" on the 5.0 I put in my Ranger a few years ago and it worked aweome. You have to be very careful about getting in aluminum though, it will etch it. For something like our head its not really a big deal, but for something like polished aluminum it does look bad. It can also be pretty gnarly on your skin so wear goggles, gloves, and a paper dust mask.

Another little goody is "Bar Keepers Freind"

I use gasoline and parts washer brush, makes quick work of the nastiest grease, oil, grime messes.
