Hello everyone! My name is Matt and I'm a correctional officer in Arizona :rocker and I recently bought my 95 Geo Metro 3 cyl 1.0L about a month ago for $400 :shit ... I put about $400-500 in it to rebuild the engine and thank to EVERYONE on here I got it all running nice and smooth... I didn't know if it would actually run once I got it all together but I surprised myself since I've never done ANYTHING with a car except for changing the oil... and changing a flat tire LOL! Anyways I've put about 14 miles on it so far with no more problems except for its idling too high and I'll fix that tonight after work. Anyways next is the body... its rrrrreeeeaaaalllllyyy ugly being sun faded purple. Anyways I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone!

Welcome to the forum. As you know now, these cars are simple to work on. The body work should be a breeze considering that Arizona cars don’t rust. You can recruit the inmates to do all of the sanding and masking for you. Prime and paint are easy. :thumb

Thanks for all the warm welcomes... I got out of work today and one of my co workers says "Who's go kart is that?" I was proud to say that it was mine. But yeah... about the high idling. I think the previous owner may have cranked up the idle to get it to run being that the compression b4 the rebuild was 90/90/15 and it still ran even if it ran VERY poorly.
