Is you idle high? I have seen a few out in the yards where that looked like apart of the vac. system. I dont have it on mine. Does it suck when the car is running?

It's an "extra" and nothing plugs into it.

My 96 metro has an unused tube on the firewall. I have a 3 cylinder so maybe the extra tube is for a 4 cylinder or something else.

You can trace the tube...if there's no connection on the other end, then it's just an extra tube.

The evap system is on the gas tank in the 4 cyl models, its probably a line that runs back there.

Probably works with the cruise control on swift models. I have the same tube on my 3/5

I have AC with a 4 Cylinder and it's the same way on my firewall.

Only thing I could think of is possibly ABS, (not sure if that would even require an extra line).

Charcoal canister was moved to the back, between the fuel tank and the rear seat (for convenience, LOL) in 98, that's probably just a leftover line for the old canister location.

Edit: My 98 four cylinder doesn't have it, so the plot thickens..
