Yep, they were planning it exactly as you say, but also as you say there are a lot of circumstances where the injector cuts off, making it (imho) worthless as a tach. You can view the actual code here: -> http://code.google.com/p/opengauge/source/browse/trunk/mpguino/mpguino.cpp <- As far as the Mpguino being a pain to hook up, if someone as electronically stupid as myself can do it, I would suspect anyone could do it. The biggest problem I noticed other people having was that they weren't getting clean enough contact signals. I did this by fashioning my own form of t-pins from paper clips and inserting them into the harness connectors, instead of stripping out wires. It has been working fine in this fashion since JBD sent me the unit. |
