This forum is a great help to me, and I appreciate all the knowledge here! I am retired living in Princeton BC Canada. Recently I have purchased a neglected 1992 Geo Metro hatchback, it seems I Have found a new hobby-fixing my car!

So far: in car engine rebuild, cyl head-(2 burnt exhaust valves), rings, con rod bearings, timing belt-front crank seal; enlarged oil drain holes in head gasket(Felpro).

This car goes! and is fun to drive on twisty mountain roads. On the highway I have some road noise with the stock 12" wheels and worn snow tires on the front. I can get Canadian Tire P145 12 80s AW for $31, the P155 13" is $34.98, I can't find any 12" snow tires, so trying to decide what to do.

I also did a front grill block; later I will set up image hosting; I have some youtube video about my Geo, user name " Newbookz" :thumb

Once again I say this is an excellent forum and it has helped me a lot! ^o)

Just watched your video on Youtube. You've got a nice car there, and I hope you were able to get it for a steal as well.

Welcome to your new forum, ubookz! :coffee

Yep, moving to Canada is on our list of to-dos. My sister-in-law and Wife's Mother was English born so my Wife is getting English citizenship and my in-laws want to move to Kelowna. I already use the idioms so it will be an easy transition and NOW we have special incentive - getting tires for my '91 Geo. :thumb :lol

If it helps any, my studded snow tires are Goodyear Ultra Grip studded tires. http://www.goodyeartires.com/tire/ultra-grip/ and they are made in Canada. :lol My car came with 4 of them. Nothing else, just studded snow tires. I had to buy a sport tire/wheel set. :-/
