Well I just bought a 97 5 speed hatch with almost 170k on it as my commuter so I dont have to put 2500 miles a month on my new car, I like the geo so far, for some reason I always wanted on I dont know why but I bought it primarily for the mpgs as well. This forum has been very helpful so far and I thank you guys for all your support for this car, I have done a full tune up, oil change, replaced injector in TB, cleaned egr and intake, and still have to change the tranny fluid and get it smogged here in California. I drive a 100 mile commute everyday and have never heard anything bad about the mechanical aspect of these cars.

I am also pretty mechanically inclined as well, been working on cars the past 4 years and I am a contracted aircraft mechanic for the Navy.

Cheers Guys! :cheers

Compared to aircraft these are pretty simple :D Being out there in cali means you probably won't have the rust issue that plagues metros back east.
Post some pics when you can!

Welcome to the forum! Posting pics is easy. Set up an account on a site like Photobucket, and upload your pics there. Then your uploaded pic can be resized (usually 640x480 or 800x600), and the site will give a link beside the photo for different formats. Copy the link of that photo that has the IMG link and post it in your text in these message boxes. When done correctly, it'll look like this:

You may have to practice a few times to get the feel of it.

Welcome to your new forum, hanksgeo! :coffee

Yeah, the picture thing is funky but you can learn some HTML codes like using [img] for pics and more, with some practice. Might look good on the resume, eh. ;)
