As much as we all love "Haynes"... ...the Front Hub Nut (Staked Nut).....129 Ft-lbs; the Rear Drum Spindle Nut (Staked Nut).....129 Ft-lbs. The Castellated Nuts, 108.5 to 195.0 for the front, and 58 to 86 for the Drum Spindle. Torque 'em within spec., line up the castellation, and install the cotter pin. If ya' look at the way it all goes together, the torque shouldn't be exerting any pressure on the balls. 'Least not the bearings balls.

Wanted to confirm front and rear axle nut size on my 91 vert, I'm thinking 30mm front, 22mm rear? Can one of you guys confirm that or let me know what's correct. Thanks! |
