My car shakes quit a bit when its in drive and is worse in reverse.I have replaced 2 of the motor mounts but it didnt seem to help.I have tried adjusting the idle and that doesnt help either.Do you think it could be the other 2 motor mounts causing the shaking. It just seems like to me it shakes alot more then normal and worse when the motor is cold.It idles pretty rough in gear and smooth in park.I would just like some good advise on fixing this. Thanks

i have done a full tune up and oil change. The 2 motor mounts i changed were pretty cracked so im hoping its just the other 2 i need to change. The lower mount that connects to the transmission looks like it has alot of play. How much are they suppose to move when in drive at idle.

Got 70 MPG?

Rough idling is normal for a 3 cylinder Geo. Mine idles pretty damn rough, always has, yet it runs perfectly fine.

Mine idles rough enough for me to feel it easily inside my gutted car. And when I pop the hood it's pretty easy to see it vibrating. I've got some polyurethane in a can that I'll be using soon to stiffen up the motor mounts.

Please let me know how that works.I have replaced the 2 upper motor mounts and i have the torque strut on its way.Hopefully that will fix the problem.I have messed with the idle adjustments and it still shakes the same.I was told it could be a weak alternator.I know when i turn on the lights or the fan kicks on the idle drops quite a bit.Is this normal?
