I must say that this has got to be the easiest car to work on by far. Sometimes It is as though I am working on a go-cart. And the driving has got to be the funnest by far. I bought it with a blown head gasket and took care of that promptly. The car says it has 244,000 on it but somehow it does not seem possible. I have a ten year old son and he will probably be driving one of these for his first car. I think this will be the easiest car to learn to drive on plus fixing it with him will be a joy. There are so many great ideas from this forum I can't wait to get started.

Car over heated on the way to Austin Texas. Starting on changing out the headgasket the GMF way.
BTW I have never done this before :smackface
Good thing I have become a GMF member ^o)

Heads off and everything looks a-ok according to
my father in-law. Got a hold of that little check valve
first thing. Sitting in the top draw of my trusty tool box.
Block is cleaned with scotch brite and head is going to
to be shaved
and checked. :rocker
