I am new to the group and I don't have a metro.....YET! :whistle I am going to get one though! The prices in my area are high. Phoenix AZ. But should be rust free. I don't like the looks of the 4 door coupe looking thing, I like the boxy looking ones more. Where can I find info about which is better and what models there are and which years are best what years are crap, what is a chevy sprint and should I be looking for one of those?

I joined this group after seeing Johnny on Ecomodder. He is very active over there as many of you prolly know. I had no Idea that he maintained this forum too. I wonder how he has time to wrench with all the darn typing he must have to do. :D

My only experience with a metro was when a very short friend bought one in about 93 I gave him a good ribbing. He told me about the 3 cylinders and the ribbing turned into laughter. I thought that it suited HIM though and went on about my life. I remember thinking that in spite of it's diminutive exterior that I had no problem fitting my big ass in there. OH and I had an "encounter" with a girl one time in her convertible met :evillol Her pectorailis majors took up the whole car.

I drive a ford prostitute, streetwalker eerr ah,.. escort! :oshit it's okay on gas, but it has an auto. With techniques i've learned over at ecomodder I am running 21 % above epa. I want better. I now know that gas is only going to get worse and soon owners of Metros will be treated like royalty with their forward thinking.

I'm married to a psychologist that was just crazy enough to marry me. I have a wonderful son that is about to turn 3, but I am old. He was put here on earth only to remind me just how old I am. I am a great dad, lousy husband and a poor provider. I may one day have to live in a metro so I am looking at plans to convert it to a mobile home. :news

I wont post much until I get a met. I'm not employed full time right now, so I can't buy anything without permission. I love that you all post pics of your building and repair, I need pics as my reading skill aren't that great. uhm anything else just ask??

I am the one on the left.

welcome mr.Prostitute, erm, hooker, erm Escort, um wannabe metro-id. I am sure you will find something great. If you don't mind the drive, theres better choices in ST. George Utah, in similar condition, for a lot less. I can't believe how much cars go for In AZ. As long as you get your wife on board, and she doesn't mind you tinkering a bit, metros are wonderful little fuel efficient cars. I once drove Phoenix in mine, melted a cd in the stereo b/c it was too hot, and learned the hard way that you don't do that down there. If you are patient, the perfect one will follow you home.
I admire a man that can marry a smart woman. Congratulations on finding a good one.
and Welcome!

fresh new victum! get that metro! I wish I could get an AZ metro. ahhh to be rust free :-) and YOU can do a swamp cooler for AC and save even more cash ! if your mostly highway could add a 10 or 15 gallon water tank to run an evaporative AC unit!

wow, thanks for the welcome guys, and Mr mullet himself... i'm honored. Utah is great. I have friends that have a B and B near Kanab. it's some of the most beautiful country i've seen.

As for evap.. hmmm, I hope i get a met with ice cold AC. Hard to beat my escort. I managed to creatively acquire 3 cans of r 12 and I have been limping my AC along for 2 years with it. My AC will put ice on your finger tips. I hardly use it anymore.

Thanks for the nice welcomes you guys... I LOVE It!!

Do hang around and join in the merriment. Well, unless it is painful we enjoy the company. We are not ALL about Geo Metros... there are Suzuki Swifts also. :lol
