Welcome to your new forum, fireflyinvictoria! :coffee

And you can believer everything in the manual except the picture of the firing order. Yea, you think they'd get that right, eh. :whistle

That is a beautiful color and your car looks great! B-)

As for coloring codes I found this link: 1994 Geo Metro Touch Up Paint The 1994 Pontiac chart does not list the Firefly. Click here. So according to the chart it is a Sky Blue Metallic?

Just a quick update -- just got back from a 3000 mile (5000 km) trip, crossing the Canadian Rockies (and a couple of other mountain ranges) twice, and the car performed unbelievably, even up steep hills (only had to downshift to 3rd one or two times) and at high speeds on the Prairies. Got great mileage: my best tank was almost 53 miles per gallon (4.4 litres per 100 km). The mechanic who fixed my cam timing problem a while back thought I was crazy when he heard I had taken the Firefly, rather than my husband's reliable Toyota ("you're braver than me"), but it was lots of fun.

Some little problems: window rattling, noise, etc., drove me crazy at high speeds, and I sometimes need to give it gas to start it when it's cold, but pretty good for a 17 year old car. Didn't see any other Metros or Fireflies on the trip, but one 1990ish Suzuki Swift shot past me while crossing the Rockies on the way back.

Congrats on a safe and fun trip. :thumb

My 3x a week commute has an elevation change of 1036 meters (3400 ft). The Geo does great. and your trip is about what our vacations were and yes, no problems. :banana

Thanks for that, and glad to hear your two Metros are still going strong!! What are their odometers at now? I'd be curious to know how long they can last, as I'm hoping to hang on to mine for a while. My Firefly burned some oil on the trip, but I'm guessing that's pretty normal when you're driving at such high revs for so long.
