Welcome to the site, I hope you find to love your 94 as much as I love mine. These are relativly easy cars to work on yourself... if you have a haynes manual you should be able to diagnose that problem... kinda sounds like a problem in the intake area, sensor bad or something. EGR valves (from what I know) don't give those sympoms but they are the leading cause of metro failure I suggest pulling the code, if it gives you code 51 get the compresion tested, if the compresion is fine clean you egr passageways out, replace the valve, then seafoam the car every other oil change following the Seafoam Maintenence Guide that Johnny Mullet made. These cars are great... but I will say that you came to the right place to fix it when it breaks. |
