Bummer. But welcome to your new forum, MaggieElaine3! I would first post in the classifieds under 'wanted' for one. Our members are very knowledgeable and can get the right part if they have one. Next would be a junk yard. Does it not have one or is it broken? The steering column is fairly easy to disassemble. Here is the diagram section link: Diagrams 89-91 Got pictures?

If someone tells me what a multi switch is there are 2 Geo Metros in the junk yard by my house... I'll rip one off one of them and send it or both to you if I can. |

The mult-switch is the knob that controls your headlight and tur signals. The last owner ripped it out of the car... Dont ask me how.. I am still looking for the damn thing, I tried junk yards around, but no one seems to have it. Geos are hard to find here.. How the heck do I had pictures up here.

Welcome to the forum. To post pics here, they first need to be at something like Photobucket. Then they can be uploaded here. I don't know where the link is that shows how. But I am sure one of our friends will be along anytime now. Is you car a standard or automatic? |

While a Metro isn't the best car to learn stick shift driving (unlike an old Mercedes diesel), it's not too hard to get the hang of. Oh, and welcome! |

Welcome aboard!!! I was at Autozone today and I saw a universal multi switch. It might work for you. You might also try posting an ad in the 'WANTED' section of this forum. The folks on here swap and sell parts all the time. Most things are easy to come by and you can always post back or 'bump' your post to keep it current, that way it gets more exposure. In the meantime, you can practice your stickshifting technique, hopefully in a wide open area. Great to have you here. If you need any help with the car, just shout. Get us some pictures of your new pride and joy when you can. It's easy. Sign up for Photobucket, upload your pictures to an album and cut and past the link beside the picture you want to post on here. There are four links associated with your picture in Photobucket. Use the last one (the one at the bottom). To make sure it all works OK you can 'preview' your post before you submit it to make sure you picture uploaded. Again, Welcome!!!

Click on http://geometroforum.com/topic/1322668/ for a 'how to' on posting pictures. Click on Navigating the Forum for a more general how to on the forum. I've actually found that the free Photobucket account is useful for posting family pictures and even displaying my work samples for perspective employers.
