I Would Love To Christen Mine: Francisca!! As In FRANCISCA SARPONG!!! But Alas, I Can't Really Do That Since She Didn't Come Into My Life (She Is a GODSEND!) Until March 2011, And I Got My '90 4Dr. In January 1991. I've Had My Geo Metro Since Then, and We've Been Through a LOT Since Then.

Anyone Remember The Helen Reddy Song from about 1974: "You And Me Against The World"? Sorta Fits Me And My Metro.

I Have Yet To Install Francisca Permanently In My Passenger Seat. But That's Gonna Take Money In The THOUSANDS To Bring Her Here From GHANA. Sad!!

But For Now, I Don't Have a Name. Sometimes I Call her the Speed Machine. LOL!

We have always our named cars(and friends) I guess. A lot of the time it is nothing special but sometimes it is off the wall. One things for sure, the names stick like glue and everyone knows what you are talking about! I could go on and on about this but I will just say I call my Metro "The Geo". I am still the only one out of everyone I know that has anything that gets good MPG so no need for a crazy name.

Mine's "the turd". My kids hate my Geo and are embarrassed to ride in it. I make them ride in it sometimes becuase i am the Dad and that is my job.

One time I was dropping my daughter (12 years old) off at school (she goes to a private school and all the parents drive rediculously expensive cars) and she started making a big deal out it. "Daddy, PLEASE drop me off on the corner!!" I was annoyed so as i Dropped her off at the front of the school, I honked, rolled down the window and said "Bye Abby, I love you!" then i turned up the radio, and drove away. EVERYONE saw her. I have never had an issue with her complaing about the car again.

You should take her out of private school while you are at it. :)

Wouldn't even consider it. The money I pay for her school is WELL spent. The public schools here (Southern California) are a disgrace IMHO. I will drive my turd to save money to put her through school gladly to avoid exposing her to the moral and social decay going on in my local public junior highs. I digress...

If I loved my car enough, I'd probably name her that too!

A young chick wearing hose is a rare breed indeed. :whistle

My now-deceased '91 "Competition Blue" XFi was called, "The Smurfmobile".

My current '97 "Wildfire Red" 3/5 hatch is called "The Tomato".

The old '92 blue/green XFi I had years ago was called "La Cucaracha" (the cockroach) because my brother and I simply couldn't kill it.

My white 93 is Christine also, my wife’s green 94 was the Green Manalishi until she changed it to Frankenstein due to having numerous components from her 94 wrecked 4-door Little Red. We've got a green 4-door named the Greenie Weenie (she was a condemned parts car headed for the junkyard that cost me $200, just needed an IAC and TPS). My step daughter's Astroturfed 92 hippie car is named Georgia, and my 95 maroon car is named Maroon Car.
