LOL, yes I am having the VA do the surgery. I don't have private medical insurance. They've done me right so far. As for my surgery date, no clue yet. Hopefully very, very soon.

Good luck, you shouldn't have a problem. I don't know if I would call it routine, my daughter had hers taken out 20 years ago the day after she graduated college, she said it was no big deal. I have noticed that some docs don't explain that when you take your little blue pill it should be 1 hour before or 2 hours after you eat for it to wotk properly. I have been taking thyroid medicene for about 15 years with no problems.

Sir, yes sir!

Well, guess who just got notified by the V.A. that his thyroid may be the cause of 2 major medical issues... Yeah. The idea has only been floated right now, many more tests to determine if it truly is the culprit.

Oh, CC are you going to let the VA cut on you? Hmmmmm, remember what I said to Abe about the number of wrong legs being chopped offed by the VA. I think I would take my chances in a Third world country or Cuba. Hugo Chavez likes it there, so Cuba must be good, right?

Take care CC. Best of luck with the diagnosis.

I finally just got scheduled for surgery. I go in on August 5th and I should be in the hospital overnight and go home the next day. It's about damn time!

You and jellybeandriver's wife ought to get together and recuperate. She can't use her arms and you won't be able to talk for a day or two.

Anyone else need to mend?

Hope it goes well for you, Abe.

LOL, I guarantee I got more issues than she does. My thyroid and tumor are just the tip of the ice berg of my issues :D

I have to be in Seattle tomorrow morning at 8 AM for 2 pre-surgery appointments. Sooo not looking forward to waking up at 4:30 and leaving by 5 to beat the traffic. Hopefully I'll be able to take a nap in the parking lot when I get there.

So I just got out of the hospital. My surgery went well. They removed my thyroid completely and the tumor. I get to see how many stitches I got tomorrow when I remove my bandage. My throat really hurts, especially when I swallow. But I am able to talk. I can't move my head much though. I just got home, owww my throat.

Chloraseptic and chicken soup. Glad to hear everything went well. I expect nothing less than a full recovery. ;-)
