Fastest Hampster EVER

NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! Don't remove the A/C components. Trust me, If you like warm air, fine. Once you take the compressor off, the car looses some of its value. In the future you might decide to sell it, the new potential buyer will be asking about the compressor and you will be kicking yourself in the butt for having removed it. The weight of the compressor is negligible with respects to MPG's. So leave it in. It ain't hurting anything, but can make the difference in $$$ when reselling the vehicle.

I very very rarely ever sell a car. we usually drive them until they drop - or give them to a family member, and I can safely say that I'm the only one in my family that loves my metro, haha.

that darn ac compressor is kind of in the way of the oil filter and I look in the engine compartment and think of how much more nice open space there would be with all that junk out of there. plus, I think of all the people who would love to have it in their a/c less metros. But I will definitely consider leaving it in for the reasons that you mentioned - thanks!

oh and just checked, it is a 2000 metro. MFD date 11/99 and the manual says 2000 metro. The guy who I got it from last month was the original owner :)
