Better get a good supply of door pins and bushings! This does give me a idea though. I dont see why a man could not mount him a radiator cooling fan somewhere on the outside firewall and run him a switch and have it to pull hot air out with the window cracked about a half inch. |

This is a good idea... hate burning my back on the seat. Are you supposed to open the opposite side door window? |

Don't you just love to jump onto nagahyde in the summertime? I hated that crap on bench seats in my folks old Impala. Great way to learn how to squirm. |

How about we just carry a squirrel cage fan in trunk rigged up to run on DC instead of AC then open all doors and watch what happens |

A few years ago they were selling a little fan that ran on solar energy, it clip to the rear window that was rolled down a couple of inches. I did exactly what this guy was doing |

Remember to do it 5 times, or the Geo Gods will not be summoned. Seriously though, I wonder if doing it 10 times would be even better, or if these guys experimented and found 5 was the optimal number. Also wonder if it changes with the starting temperature. |

I have opened all the windows and left the rear hatch open for a couple of miles ,then closed it. Of course if you leave the hatch open long enough ,the EXHAUST FUMES,will help you forget just how hot it really is.

They've had these solar powered window fans for years. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007LXTN2/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_2?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B000QGGY9E&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=0460EZ53J58MCDXQ06GN Just open the window a few inches, put in the fan and roll the window up tight to keep it in place. The solar powered fan circulates air. Throw a light colored towel on the seats so they don't get too hot and you're in business! Hmmm. I think I'll get one today! |

They don't really move enough air to do anything. |

Yea, I just read the reviews. Maybe I'll buy it and try a few hacks. - I have a larger solar panel that can fit on the dash. - I can replace the motor with something a little more powerful while staying in the 12v area. - I think you have to have windows on the opposite side of the car open a crack for better airflow. Honestly, I was driving my Geo in that 105 F heat a few weeks ago transporting a La Caja China pig roaster. I really thought that a Geo could be made into a pig roaster itself! -replace the windows with thermal, oven glass. - make a slide out tray for the drippings - make a slide out roasting rack - weld some ridges to the roof to accomodate burning charcoal - remove all plastic, headliner and upholstery, etc. from the interior (as well as the engine and everything else) It could probably roast a small calf or 300 pound pig in under 4 hours! |
