Thanks to this thread I had a weird dream last night where my geo converted into a motorcycle where I was sitting about 60 ft up in the air while driving.

wont work it'll still be a metro... THINK what do you need to register a vehicle? thats right a VIN number... and guess what your VIN says? ITS A CAR! woot you just hacked a metro up to try to save a few bucks on insurance when its still registered as a car :smackface

back to square 1...

the only way you would be able to register a Geo metro as a M.C would be like this

Now i would ask the DMV how i would register this FIRST before i did it to the car.. but my guess would be to either register it as either a Honda M.C, Geo Metro OR a home made vehicle
That is awesome! It's like a Metro Hoveround wheelchair scooter. lol

If you really want three wheels and fuel efficiency, try one of these:

Of course, I'm not sure how it would pull a trailer...

actually its not that way at all potter. I am not sure how it works outside of PA but in PA (I already have the forms around here somewhere)

I would register a "new vehicle" and be issued a "NEW VIN #" for a "custom fabricated vehicle" or "heavily customized" vehicle. I would have an inspection process to go through for a car its $160 (just to make sure its "road safe" and the requirements for a custom one off car are a LOT less stringent than for say a manufactured car)

it might even be cheaper for a motorcycle and the requirements childs play in comparison since its a CAR afterall before I converted it so already a lot safer than a motorcycle.

it would also mean No more emissions testing !! yeah !

I would be issued a new VIN plate by the state. it would be a motorcycle. I pay $75 a year for my 82 Goldwing and it has 10% MORE displacement than my Metro so yeah did you forget these are 993 cc engines in these cars? (1197 in the goldwing IIRC)

so yeah it would be $75 a year to insure a 3 wheeled metro in PA.

I would have the single wheel in the BACK which would eliminate 100% of the reliant robin issues (COOL car btw I would drive one if I could get one :-)

I am eyeballing a metro down the street. the prices seem cheap so I am hoping the metro will be dirt cheap. I am going to work on getting another metro and making it a 3 wheeler.

I have decided I want to do this. Just because.
