That sucks my friend. Typical dick driving a car too big for his ego. I can't imagine something like this happening to my baby! So, basically they will give you $750 for your car and you can use that to fix it up? |

I can feel the pain in your back and neck from here. Better get that checked out, too, just in case. |

Talk to a lawyer. You might need a chiropractor. I know my wife did when this happened to her many years ago. Insurance company totaled our car (a nine year old Chevette), advice from the lawyer helped us get $400 more from the insurance company than we paid for the car! Then I used a bumper jack braced on the bumper and on a strut off the rear axle to bend the body back into shape. Wife started a nice savings account with the proceeds. We drove that car for another six years. Don't worry about salvage title...only a nuisance when you are selling the car...then you have to explain why. Unless you are planning on selling the car soon, shouldn't be a big deal. |

Went to the chiropractor yesterday & got checked out. Was a little off & have to go back next week. They will be filing my visits & xrays with his insurance thankfully! My wife took the Metro for a estimate this morning - $2542 - there's a wrinkle in the driver's quarter panel so the body is worse than I thought.....I'm waiting on the guy to get back in touch with his insurance company - he won't return their calls I just love wating......ugh |

And its just for things like this that it is required, despite the moaning in the thread about it. Sorry to hear your car got smacked, but glad that your damage wasn't worse. Feel better soon. |

ok, bad news for ya, i hate to tell you this but the insurance company will rule that as totaled, i can bet you im about 99% positive they are going to, however if they do find out what they will set the salvage value at, and buy the car back from them via salvage value and then youll have your car back, dont worry about salvage titles, ive always had one or 2 vehicles ive bought with salvage titles, only thing is it has a penalty when you re register it, or gives bad taste when reselling, but who cares, youll never sell teh car anyway since they are just too good to let go. So youll end up with a salvage title more than likeley theyll set salvage value at 500 or so, so youll have the remainder of that in your pocket for repairing it, or just drive it as is and use the money for your gas atleast thats what i would do if it was mine. Or you can take the total and come up down here to arkansas and buy the geo im getting, going to fix the issues and then set a price. Just needs drivers side window regulator, and rear passengers glass, and a minor dent pulled out, Simple stuff.

Wizard93, Think Those Suburban Drivers are Bad? (Yes They Are; They're all Assholes!) Them SILVERADO Drivers are 10000 Times Worse!! The Silverado Drivers are The ABSOLUTE WORST DRIVERS ON THE ROAD!! Especially Those JACKED UP FANCY SHMANCY ONES! They All Think They Own The Road (In Reality, They DON'T) and They Seem To Think That Terrorizing and Tailgating and Taunting a Geo Metro or Chevrolet Sprint is a "Good Deed" For Society and They Seem To Think That They're Doing Everyone a Favor. Usually, These Infantile Loser Breed of Driver is the "Vin Diesel" Type Male. I have Been Fighting These Jerks Ever Since I Had My Geo Metro and also When I Had My '86 Sprint Also. These Retards All Need Their Driving Privelige REVOKED!! They Need To Learn That These Roads And Highways are For EVERYONE AND EVERYBODY!! And LAW ENFORCEMENT/POLICE Are No Better! Dude, I am Shocked and Surprised that the Cop Was on Your Side and Not The Suburban's. Usually, When a Geo Metro Gets in an Accident or is Involved in Any Incident of Any Kind, Police Usually Side with the Big Bully and Goes AGAINST THE GEO METRO DRIVER!!! I Can Attest To That, With My Numerous Bad Run-Ins With Police. It Doesn't Matter If The Bully Silverado Driver is In The Wrong--Usually The Case--Police ALWAYS Side With The Big Guy and Charge The Geo Metro With a Crime, Unjustifiably!! It All Goes Well With This DECADES OLD DISEASE AND EPIDEMIC--GEO BASHING--THAT NEEDS TO FADE AWAY INTO OBLIVION, LIKE MALE BASHING AND DISCO BASHING!! Sorry For The Rant, But I Know That You Guys, Being Geo Metro Drivers Like Me, Can Relate To My Anger/Dilemma. In 1991, Just Months After I Got My '90 4Dr. I Was Rear Ended On The 405 Freeway in the Hammer Lane (Worst Lane To Be In, By The Way!) By a Chevrolet Astro Van. She Was In a Hurry and On Her Way to LAX. She Let Her Attention Go Astray For a Split Second, and I Was Stopped at The Traffic Jam When She Plowed Into The Back of Me. She Was Doing a Good 55 MPH When She Hit Me From Behind. Also Pushed Me Into The Car Ahead of Me. Also, in 2002 I Had a Punk Foreigner with his Buddy and 2 Girlfriends in their Ford Focus SVT Smack Me in My Right Front Side on Ventura Blvd. Here in Encino. Both Accidents, I Drove My Car Home From The Accident Scenes--Limping, Mind You. Just Goes To Show You How STURDY BUILT THESE GEO METROS ARE, FOLKS. Don't Believe These Stupid Geo Bashers, The Insurance Companies, Car and Driver Magazine, Consumer Reports, The Pickups, and the SUVs, These People Do Not Have a Brain In Their Friggin' Head and Do Not Know What The Hell They're Talking About!!! Next Time Some IDIOT GEO BASHER RETARD Calls Your Car a "DEATHTRAP" and a "TIN CAN" You Have My Permission to CLEAN THEIR CLOCK AND SMACK THEM UPSIDE THE HEAD!!!! Do It For Me Guys!! You All Know I'm Right!! They ALL DESERVE IT!!! |

I've had 6 Metros, driven for over 650K miles, and I have no idea what the hell you're rambling on about. Sounds like paranoid schizophrenia, you frighten me. And what's with the capitalization? |

I do not find ANYONE who are specifically against Geos. Worst I have found are the curious ones who pull up too close to get a better look. If this happens to you and you react in an angry way (which your post indicates you would) then you will get a negative reaction from the other driver.--the start of road rage. Being from a family of Law enforcement Officers I can tell you that MOST of the time an Officer is neither for or against any one particular person.--but--Just like any normal person, when they run into any arogant, loud mouth SOB they will also react in kind. |
