A mechanic said that there does not appear to be much wrong. He said that coolant leak might
have gotten wet the connector to the crankshaft position sensor. He also said I had the timing
belt advanced which is the reason that it wouldn't idle.

The mechanic said the the injector wiring had a dirty connection. No parts were replaced.
My Metro seems to run okay now.

P0420 means the cat may be melted or not functioning. If you got good exhaust flow, then the cat is not pluggd and the engine will be fine if it's running good now.

I have a 1996 Geo Metro 4 cylinder. I searched for two months for help and finally solved my problem. Diagnostics by the dealership did NOT help. My problem was failure to start after the engine had warmed up. after changing almost every part11 the culprit was the INJECTOR. The problem was far worse on very hot days. It would get me to my destination, but after sitting for about five minutes, it would NOT start. So-- This is my contribution to anyone having a similar problem. Change the INJECTOR! Finally11 Im on the road again!
