Did some work to the car today and the wife is very pleased :deal

I pulled the A/C condenser from the parts car and installed it and the compressor, bracket, and belt are back on. Here is the condenser from a 2000 Swift that was installed in the car...........

The lines did not fit into the condenser, but since I found a good one from a 97 I knew it would fit. I also fixed a rattle in the exhaust and changed the oil in it..........

We drove it to my work and hooked the machine to it so I could vacuum the system since it's been open for a few months. After charging it with 1.4LB of fresh R134A the system worked and there were no leaks. We took it on a long drive and enjoyed the cold A/C :cold

After we got home I took the fenders off the 97 parts car which happened to be the same color and her Metro. I also painted the hood gloss black, but not pleased with it. The hood on the parts car has a couple dents and a few rust spots that I don't care for. Here is what it looks like anyway...........

Respect your opinion of the hood but the combination of blue, black and those wheels is sharp. B-) :thumb

I don't think I would havechosen a gloss for the black perhaps a semigloss (not a big fan of flat either) but like Bad Bent I like the combo you've got there!

That black hood has kind of a cool look.

t3ragtop has been using Plasti-Dip spray to freshen his plastic parts. Making the plastic wiper cover jet black would add to the cool flavor of the hood. $6 per can from Harbor Freight.

The wife hated the hood, so off it went :)

Your gonna paint the bumpers, vent cowl, and wiper arms a glossy black? That would really dress mommas whip up.

Looks good, Boss.
