You get more car problems or mishaps then anyone I know . Maybe the Geo goddess is frowning on you.
I just had to rescue the wife 3 miles down the road. Whatever is going on with her transmission finally let go and the car is fucked. I drug it home with my car and not sure what to do here.

I give up :banghead

We were supposed to go on a double date in Erie, Pa and have a good time. Already booked the rooms. Looks like as soon as that is over I gotta get her trans and clutch swapped. No rest for the wicked :beer

I'm guessing you missed his recent posting where he revealed that she's been a royal f'kn biotch toward him lately, because she's, "going through the change".

Respect begets respect. If you lose all respect for a, supposed, loved one, merely because you don't feel good, don't be too shocked if your loved one, suddenly, doesn't feel too good, either.
That ain't how marriage works, sonny.

Replaced the transmission, clutch, throwout bearing, and pilot bearing in her car over the weekend. I also tightened up her alternator belt and made a few more adjustments.

Mr's Mullet is about fed up with driving Geo Metro cars because of all the issues we have had with them since driving them in 2008. Her current car alone has broken down alot on her and suffered another deer hit. Anytime she has an issue with her car, I drop everything and make it right, but that's not good enough I guess.

We will see what happens :hiding

I have been driving this 92 nissan maxima I bought for my sons first car the last few days. It is like driving a limo. I can see how people get up to speeding speed so quickly with these powerful engines.

You got to admit, it has three times the power of your normal factory equiped metro. Power steering turns with ease, brakes stop on a dime. Lot of differance between a metro and the limo maxima. That being said, I am no nissan fan either, but for a thousand bucks, he got a good deal of a car for a starter car to wreck. Not to mention, I feel a little better with this four door heavy car if he gets in a wreck. I bet Mrsmullet would love it!

Way better than the Avalon or Camry of the day.

Back in 97', was trying to figure out which car to buy my dad and it was between the Avalon or the Maxima. Avalon was such a boat. Maxima was so much better. Felt like you were actually driving vs the Avalon that was so disconnected from the road.

I've been surprised how even today 'sporty' luxury cars can be so disconnected. Driven my sister's Acuras - uggh.

On the other hand I thought my brother's wifes Mercedes CLK320 would be horrible but it drove and felt like a nimble little sports car. Nice exhaust note too.

Johnny, I've heard from all my guy friends - get WHATEVER the wife wants. Way cheaper and less stress in the long run.
