Johnny, I've heard from all my guy friends - get WHATEVER the wife wants. Way cheaper and less stress in the long run.
And you get a trump card for at least a week or two.

If you recall, I slapped an entire bearing/drum assembley on the wife's 96 Metro and been running it while I had the new stuff ready to go. Well, it started making noise and we were going on a road trip soon. It was a balmy 19 degrees in the garage today........

Here is what the bearings look like on that used hub............

We do have a moisture issue from what I see so I inspected the backing plate and really could not find any holes, but the factory silicone area around the hub might not be sealing.........

I sealed it all up with grey silicone and will hope for the best. I also sealed the cap.........

I also had to reattach her passenger mirror that broke off somewhere (she has no clue) and I also removed the 3Tech 10 degree advanced wheel and installed a stock cam gear instead.

that's what's under the brake drum on a late model metro, scoobs.

it's the same hub they used on the gt cars. straight spindle, better bearings, new 12mm lugs.

the link i posted makes them $25 a piece and you can't buy replacement bearings that cheap most of the time.

i keep a pair on the shelf in case i have a wheel bearing issue so i don't have to wait for a delivery.

Is that for mounting brake drums, or disk brakes in the rear? I have a 94 base model Metro. Will those fit?

Memphis metro

Murf further on down under description is says 92-94 metro rear excluding convertibles. Here is a picture of the drum for a 94 at autozone.

The Metro made a 340 mile round trip to Lockport, NY and back with no issues. Averaged 47.6 MPG at 69 MPH..........
