One thing about cat yellow, it shows oil leaks real well. If you develop any, it will be a snap to find. Looks good. |

With all of the work you put in that motor, I think a daily driver is the better home for it than in Ecomudder. The mudder will only run for short periods of time on weekends. |

Hey Jm, I know this is off topic, but what do you suggest to prevent rust. I've been oiling my frame horns fairly regularly and they're clean with just a lil surface rust on the edges but I already destroyed my 99 and the 00 I'm driving now is too nice to meet that demise. Thanks... |

here's where i go for rust prevention. http://stores.ebay.com/The-Eastwood-Company/Rust-Prevention-/_i.html?_fsub=7&_sid=57829847&_trksid=p4634.c0.m322 here's what i recommend for rust proofing frame horns. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Internal-Frame-Coating-Rust-Prevention-w-Spray-Nozzle-/360420661932?pt=Motors_Automotive_Tools&vxp=mtr&hash=item53eabedaac you'll probably have to flush out all the oil with a solvent before you apply the phenolic/ zinc rust preventer. i used this to stabilize the rockers, frame channels on the bottom of the floor, inside the door panels, and over the rear wheel houses inside the car. it turns red rust green and the phenolic coating seals the steel from exposure to air and moisture. eastwood's rust encapsulator paint and seam sealers are the whip, too. they stop rust dead in it's tracks. |

I had the engine and trans out last night.............![]() Today I got the block put together, installed the good trans, and installed and assembled the engine. It sure looks mighty nice........... ![]() ![]() Started it up and heard the normal lifter noise, but also noticed a slight knock. As the engine got warmer, the knock got louder. I assume it is a main bearing on this block, so right now I am gonna Tomorrow is a new day. I will yank the head off and drop the pan to see what is knocking so bad. Hopefully I got enough parts to fix it. The wife informed me that reverse is out on the mud truck and I have no choice but to get this car running right tomorrow or Monday. Cheers
