Sounds like Bryan for a minute. All your vehicles have problems at once. I know what its like to scramble to get it up and going. Good luck with the work you put in tomorrow and we wanna hear the good news.

:coffee

Redid and painted the other block, dropped it in and got it all together. Went to start it and the clutch pedal was just laying on the floor :hmm

Oh! There's the clutch on the workbench :smackface

I gotta pull the tranny now :coffee

not to worry! they're calling for 6 to 12 inches of snow for mulletland today. :hmm

it's a good time to crank the heater and stay in the garage. ^o)

since i'm one of those overpaid, golden retirement, union civil servant types that drives the tea party crazy, i have my paid new year's holiday off work. we'll only get 3 inches of snow but i'm still going to stay at home, sit around in my underwear, and eat left over shredded pork bbq. :P

Good luck on getting it running without the knock the second time around. I'm glad our project with my Lil Red went smooth several months ago. How many people came out to watch and help?

Car is all done and we drove it around today. The transmission is no longer an issue and it runs great. I got a few little minor things to finish it up.

Fastest Hampster EVER

Less than 24 hours and JM had the tranny out, the clutch in and had the metro on the road. Really easy to do when the tranny weigh 80#.

Great job, JM. Hope the wife appreciates your hard work. Hope it will last a good long time before it need to get back into the shop.

Have a great new years, boss.

I had the engine and trans out, new trans in and the engine in. Then I had to replace the block so the engine came back out. Then I got the new engine in and forgot to bolt on the clutch so the tranny came back out.

Friday night 6:00 PM - 10:00 PM motor and trans out and cleaned up under the hood.

Saturday 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM new trans in, hone and re-ring and assemble block. Install head and found out it had wasted main bearing and crank :beer

Sunday 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM pulled motor, inspect another block, hone cylinders and swap pistons. Installed engine and found out at 6:00 PM I forgot to put the clutch in. Pull trans, install clutch and had it warmed up, burped, and drained oil overnight.

Monday 8:00 AM - 10:00 AM finished oil change, rotated tires, test drove car.

What a weekend :rocker

Oh my gosh. I'm exhausted just reading about it. Lots of work in a short time frame. Hope the new ride works out splendid for Mrs. Mullet. She certainly can't say you aren't willing to go the extra mile for her. :D
